Shape and thickness

The paddle outline and handle dimensions shape the starting specification. SHUEN's catalog shows eight base shapes, including shape 007 at 417 × 192 mm. The documented construction options include 14 mm and 16 mm thickness, with 16 mm as a current focus.

These are starting options for the conversation with your brand. A project-specific shape or construction can be discussed through the sample process.

Face material and core structure

Available face choices include Toray T700 carbon fiber, Kevlar or aramid and other documented carbon weaves and titanium wire options. The core library shows fifteen structures. SHUEN can also help customers develop a core structure for a custom paddle.

Configuration choices can be combined across the paddle. Each final build should be specified and checked as a complete sample. A material name or core image alone does not establish a measured performance advantage.

The finishing details

Edge color, rubber ring, grip, butt cap, logo and paddle graphics give the finished product its brand identity. Standard color choices and custom logo tooling are shown in the supplied catalog. Tooling requirements for a particular design are discussed during project review.

Use physical samples and an approved artwork file to confirm appearance before production. The Paddle Options section on the Custom Paddles page brings these choices together in one place.

From your configuration to an approved sample

First, select your preferred shape, thickness, face and core direction. Note which choices are fixed and which you want to discuss with SHUEN.

Next, send your logo artwork and a brief covering component colors, quantity, target market and delivery destination. Custom logo rings and butt caps require dedicated tooling, quoted for your project.

Finally, confirm the design and review a physical sample before approving production. Record the agreed configuration and any changes so the artwork and build refer to the same sample version.
